ABOUT
Sigrun Hasselgård Bøe is a performer, choreographer and artistic collaborator based in Drammen, Norway.
In 2020 she completed her two year-training of Advanced Devising Practice at Arthaus Berlin. In addition, Bøe has a Masters degree in Fine Arts with a specialization in Performing Arts (2018) and a Bachelors degree in Theatre Education (2016) from The University of Agder, Norway.
Together with Sunniva Birkeland Johansen, Bøe is one half of Birk/Bo Produksjoner. Their first work resulted in the short films HABITAT and MIANDRY. July 2024 they devised their first performance together LAURA VIL IKKE, which was to be seen at LOVEFEST 2025. In collaboration with Siriann Petronella Berdal and Røst teaterlag Birk/Bo Produksjoner devised the performance QUERINI´S EVENTYRLIGE LABYRINT which was performed at Querinifest 2024.
With Maureen Gleason (US) and Josje Eijkenboom (NL), Bøe is one third of Hopefully, Maybe; an international emerging theater company based in Germany, the Netherlands and Norway.
They performed their first performance HYSTERIA at LIVE Barnsley in march 2023. Their second performance TENDER HORROR was performed in collaboration with Sunniva Birkeland Johansen at the English Theatre Berlin | International Performing Arts Center on January 2024.
As a choreographer Bøe has worked on several musicals including TROLLMANNEN FRA OZ, in collaboration with Sunniva Birkeland Johansen and Sceneverftet, and FESTIVALEN, in collaboration with Kjetil Kro Sørborg and Vågsbygd videregående skole. For the last three years Bøe has worked with Holmestrand Barne- og ungdomsteater on the musicals JULEGJØKEN, JUNGELBOKEN and CHARLIE OG SJOKOLADEFABRIKKEN. The last one to be seen November 2026.
In addition she did the choreography on the varitety shows HEISEN and COSTA DEL LÅGEN in collaboration with Heljar Berge.
For several years Bøe worked as a performer, coordinator and artistic collaborator with Flux Manøver and Fugli Produksjoner. The work includes amongst other HELP-PLEHSS, UNSUSTAINABLE UTOPIA, HUDHUNGER, FLUID:NEGOTIATING LIMITS and UTSIKT FRA EN STIGE, the last two was to be seen on tour in Den Kulturelle Skolesekken in Agder fall 2022.
As a student Bøe started her first dance company FREKK DANSEKOMPANI in which she was the choreographic leader from 2015-2018.
With Sunniva Solheim she started the theatre company Teater Abu in 2014, and with director Marit Wergeland they made the kindergarden performance MED BØTTER OG SÅNN... which was performed between 2014-2018.
